Threpsi Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made from 100% organic Koroneiki olives in the Messinia region of southern Greece. Our olives are proudly grown on small family farms and produced all naturally using no pesticides whatsoever. Our oil is extracted at cold temperatures, which helps maintain the highest possible nutritional content. The oleic acid level of our oil is just 0.26 percent, making it one of the highest quality oils in Greece. Its low acidity and high biophenol count makes it the perfect blend of flavor and health. It has a rich flavor of fresh olives, and is best enjoyed raw, though it can also be used for cooing or baking.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC. Our olive oil is certified organic, which means that our olives are grown without the use of any pesticides whatsoever.
TRULY EXTRA VIRGIN. Our olive oil has an oleic acid content of just 0.26 percent, which is far below the cutoff of 0.80 percent required to be considered extra virgin olive oil. The peroxide level is 7.8 milliequivalents per kilogram, compared to a cutoff of 20.0 to be considered extra virgin.
