CLOSED: Why You Need a KitchenAid Stand Mixer- and to Enter This Giveaway!

Whether it’s fresh bread hot out of the oven or a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cake, few things are more delightful than the aroma of a favorite treat baking in the oven. Unfortunately, baking is no walk in the park. It takes a lot of patience and time to get it just right, so what is the time-strapped foodie to do?

Isn’t it a beauty?

As with all tasks, the right tools for the job will lead to a more efficient process and a better product.  For example, you always want to ensure that your cake batters are not only delicious, but they’re easier for you to make, too.

With a stand mixer, you have a power knead dough hook to cut the amount of time it takes to get that dough ready and also helps deliver consistent texture every time you bake. When it comes to great quality and cost-effectiveness, KitchenAid  is my brand of choice for the job. I actually have two of them- one of which I received as an ‘Eid gift several years ago. I use one to make dough for breads and batter for cakes and cupcakes; the other I use with my ice cream maker attachment and my ground meat and sausage stuffer attachment to make all sorts of goodies. You don’t have to have two, of course, but it saves me time when I have lots of recipes going at once.  Every home cook,  however, needs at least one. In my opinion.

This tried-and-true company has been helping at-home cooks for almost 100 years. When I get a KitchenAid product, I know that I will be getting back more than my money’s worth. In fact, as one of the most trusted names in food appliances, KitchenAid products can be found in most major stores, including Kohl’s, Macy’s, Target, Williams-Sonoma, and of course, KitchenAid’s own website.

Fortunately for our readers, KitchenAid and My Halal Kitchen are teaming up to offer one person the chance to win the choice of a black, silver, red, or white KitchenAid© 7-Quart Residential Stand Mixer.  It’s an invaluable tool in the kitchen. It has the largest capacity residential bowl-lift on the market and can hold up to 8½ lbs of mashed potatoes or bread, and up to 14 dozen cookies.

This machine is also designed to be powerful and efficient. The unit comes complete with robustly designed knobs to increase longevity, as well as an easy-to-move stainless steel bowl with comfortable handle. The 1.3 HP high efficiency DC motor can deliver optimum torque and run longer without overheating, while the preciseness of the all-metal gear design prevents any abrasive sounds. Equipped with an advanced feedback control, the motor is put into action within seconds, ensuring optimal power is delivered to the bowl.

The unit includes a stainless steel 11-wire elliptical whip, a coated metal flat beater, and a Power Knead dough hook, which are all dishwasher safe and can handle both small and large quantities wonderfully. The professional-style attachment power hub fits all the KitchenAid attachments on the market, as well as future commercial-style attachments designed for use with larger capacities.

Now do you want one? Or, if you already have one, how about a second one?

Visit the KitchenAid website to learn more

We’re looking for creative ways our readers would use- or already do use- this appliance, so tell us- How would you use the stand mixer to make one of your Ramadan meals or desserts for suhoor or iftar if you were to win?

Answer the question above and follow the guidelines below to enter (you can enter daily- once every 24 hours):

1) Be at least 18 years old

2) Be a U.S. resident

3) Read our Official Giveaway Guidelines page

4) Add a comment before 12:01AM CST on August 5, 2012.

  1. I would use this mixer on a daily basis on the dough attachment to make roti/naan bread. It would also be great for making muffins and caked for the last ten days of ramadhan. I volunteer to cook for iftar at our local masjid, so this would really help instead of using a hand mixer to blend the ingredients.

  2. Kabobs! I like to freeze cooked shami kabobs during ramadan. They can be defrosted quickly in the microwave or pan and make for a hearty suhoor, or as a side for dinner. They also are a filling snack after isha when you want something quick. I usually mix by hand, but a mixer is a great way to mix the ingredients and make them in bulk!

  3. Thanks for sharing all the info with us. I wish we had a bigger kitchen though at our house os I would work better. Anyway thanks again.

  4. Wow! What an amazing giveaway! I would use this to make cupcakes and cake – especially for my sunday school students. I would also use it to mix ground beed to make kofta or hawawshi. I could also use this to make soup!!

  5. I would use the stand mixer to combine ingredients for samosa’s. I would also make a dip for the samosa’s such as using the mixer to make tzatziki sauce. And since I have iftar parties, this will really come in handy for making alot of different types of food.

  6. @Goktug- I have a TINY kitchen, but enough room for the stand mixer. Believe me, you can even put it under your sink if you really want to 🙂

  7. I would absolutely love the opportunity to win a kitchen aid mixer. I am a huge foodie and love learning how to make new things. This would make things more fun and easier in the kitchen. It’s like a one stop kitchen machine which will work well in my small kitchen. I have always loved kitchen aid brand:)

  8. I would love a kitchen aid mixer and would make cupcakes.

  9. This is my “dua come true”. I’ve been planning to buy one for over a year but my substitute teaching doesn’t leave me with much savings. I bake a lot, so does my 18 year old daughter. I make all kinds of stuff: cakes, muffins, cookies, naans, fruit scones, and lots more. I try to provide healthy, nutritious, and preservative free snacks for my children. It will make my life easier and yummier.

  10. Oh, to dream! I f I won this beauty, I would make all sorts of breads! I love to bake! How’s this? I’ll make any bread you suggest! I will & I’ll post pix!

  11. I would use the mixer to make wonderful cream fillings for my favorite icebox cakes… Mocha chocolate chip or strawberry and lemon. Delicious, cool treats that are great to take to iftars and easy to assemble with the help of a KitchenAid stand mixer!

  12. I love baking. . Breads Buns Pastries & Cakes. . KitchedAid makes all of these easier.

  13. Assalaama aleikum :-). I am an avid baker and love making southern desserts. I have wanted to buy one for so long but they are a little expensive for me. It would save a lot of time, insh’Allah. I also would not mind trying to make ice cream with it. Assalaama aleikum.

  14. A Kitchen Aid mixer of this caliber would be absolutely amazing to have. I bake almost daily and I can only imagine how much time this would help save. I prefer making whatever I can from scratch to eliminate any processed foods or additives having this would make it so much easier to accomplish this.

  15. This is definitely a dream of mine! My main interest in the kitchenaid is because of the kneading feature of the dough hook. Because I broke my wrist in middle school, when I put too much pressure on it I spend the next two days in pain. So kneading bread is difficult for me. With the kitchenaid, it would do it for me without the pain! It would truly be a blessing in my life. I would use it to not only make dessert, but to make pizza dough, pie dough, and fresh bread to enjoy. It would truly be a blessing in my life.

Thank you so much for providing this generous giveaway!

  16. I am so excited for this giveaway! I have been wanting a large kitchen-aid mixer for some time now. I bake bread for the family every other day which is time consuming with a newborn , and I love to bake and make new creations and experiments. A new kitchen-aid mixer would be very useful in our household , Inshallah 🙂

  17. Great giveaway just in time for Ramadan ! I would love to have a kitchen aid for making doughs and maybe trying out some new recipes for Ramadan .

  18. I love stand mixers and I love the KitchenAid brand. I believe stand mixers are very helpful because you can allow it to mix while you multitask with something else. I also believe that it gets things done a lot quicker, which will allow less time in the kitchen and more time focusing on other things I want to do this Ramadan! Also, now that I am at home with my little one, I am trying to do more things from scratch and focus on healthier foods. I would be able to make at home breads and desserts. We also have an iftar at our masjid that you sign up to give iftar to singles. This will help me in making larger quantities when doing something as such.
Thanks for the opportunity to try and win such an amazing product!

  19. I would use this mixer for making things to bring to the masjid for iftar..things like lasagna, breads, cakes puddings..I would also share with others in the community if they wanted to use it.. we would also get good use of it all year 8 year old daughter LOVES to cook and i am trying to nurture this as much as possible, this would be a great help with that too inshaAllah!

  20. Cynthia(Haleemah) Clouser

I have always wanted a KitchenAid mixer, however they are very expensive. I would use mine at a home , of course, but also in my community cooking events, a Community Kitchen and I also hope to start a once or twice a week cooking/meal program with our children in the community. We have a large population of children and low-income families who are struggling. Many of them are possibly going to be victims ( possibly new ” immigrants”) of families being cut from the Food Stamp/SNAP program. We have a free Summer Lunch at two nearby facilities, but still many families will suffer because of the lack of these Benefits if they lose them. I am putting together a plan… supplement the lack of food in their homes, using community grants and donations(thankfully we do have a few generous folks here) A mixer would certainly speed up the process of cooking, baking and if it uses attachments, I would use grant money to purchase one to grind fresh meat, etc.

  21. I LOVE to bake for suhour this would be amazing! I have suhour with my family during the week and the sisters on the weekend durign Ramadan. I also just cook so much more during Ramadan feeding others makes me so happy! This would be an absolute joy to have, and would be great to teach my kids how to bake using this too! I have other Kitchen Aid appliances and the are absolutely the best quality, great giveaway :)!!

  22. I would love to win this product!! I have always wanted one because the truth is, I do a lot of cooking but not a lot of baking!! (One reason, because I hate mixing by hand lol!) I would use this so much in Ramadan, since I like to host lots of iftars and we go to regular potluck iftars with friends as well. I would be able to make my own dough for this dish we have called Tajine Malsouka– which is a necessity for our iftars and sohors!! I would also be able to make the dough for briek (an appetizer) which is a fried dough filled with potatoes, 1 raw egg, tuna, capers, Italian parsley and olives.

  23. I would use it mostly for kneading breads like pizza for iftar and hearty breads for suhoor to slather with jam. I am sure I would also use it to grind meat for iftar meals as well.

  24. I would knead breads, make cakes, sourdough pancakes, mix my fruit for jams, ground beef for kofta and meatballs, whip up some homemade mayo or ketchup. But I could also finally try to make my own moisturizing cream for Eid gifts and playdough for the kids so they keep busy while I’m doing all the cooking 🙂

  25. Assalamu alaikum,

I would love to have a kitchenaid mixer for making all my Ramadan goodies. My dad bought me and my sisters our first kitchenaid and we used it almost everyday to make cakes, cookies, and of course knead dough for homemade bread. Now that i am married with kids i want them to join me in using the kitchenaid to make food for the family. my family always make fresh bread/rotis for suhoor and the kitchenaid would be a great tool in helping us continue this family tradition.

  26. Salaam Alaykum,
besides making all the cake batter and cookie doughs and mixing my Dhokra batter and roti/naans and goodies for Eid ..and i’ve seen people roll out samosa roti ( the outer layer) with the pasta attachments and with mince attachment, it would be just right to make your own lean mince meat, chicken mince, bhajia daal, my ginger/garlic paste… sky is a limit when it comes to the Kitchen aid machine for our very health conscious family:)
    Thank you!

  27. Assalamalaikum,
I’ve always wanted one of these but never could afford it.I love experimenting with new recipes from other cultures/cuisines but the moment it involves making dough I shy away from it coz I never seem to get the kneading done right. But apart from kneading, I believe this is one of those must have kitchen gadgets that cut short the elbow grease needed to prepare dishes that require kneading, beating and mixing. We are a family that is trying to cut out processed ,off the shelf/freezer foods so having this kitchen aid mixer will help us stay on track with home made recipes..With the many attachments it comes with, common products like bread, pasta, ice cream ; etc can be made at home with less sweat and toil. And, we avoid eating a bunch of additives and preservatives in our regular food.Fingers crossed ,

  28. Asalaamualaikum,

I recently began my love for making homemade bread…but haven’t been able to do it for a few months now since my mixer broke. I have been looking to purchase an affordable and quality mixer and would love to win the Kitchen Aid giveaway to continue my efforts of feeding my family healthy homemade bread.

    Thank you!

  29. Oh, how I would love to win a Kitchen Aid mixer! My husband gave me one for Eid a few years ago, it was my favorite Eid gift ever! Unfortunately, his mother has taken it over and I have all but lost use of it. I loved it for making dough for homemade pizza and spinach pies, but it was the very best appliance to use when I make my Tiarmisu Toffee Torte.

  30. Assalamualaikum ,
    this is a great idea ! Masha’Allah !
I must say, I’ve had my eye on this mixer for a while now but can’t afford it 🙁
I am spending this Ramadan alone with my non-Muslim parents who I promised to cook, and bake for them hoping to do dawah through my cooking insha’Allah.

I will be having suhoor and iftar alone because my husband went back to Saudi to spend Ramadan with his family…so this Mixer would really cheer me up and insha’Allah help keep me busy in the kitchen as I will not be able to spend it with anybody else except myself.

  31. I adore Kitchen Aid products and love my mixer that was gifted to me for our wedding. I make bread so much however that the motor is burning out. I really would love a replacement!

  32. I want to attempt to win. I noticed it said that it is now closed… So how do I sign up to win the

  33. As Salaamu alaikum,
Well as the single mother of 5 children (only 3 left in the house) we all love to cook.
So with the added help of this wonderful machine suhoor and iftar will be a breeze.
Inshaa’Allah it would make bread making a so simple, we could crank out more than one loaf
at a time. Not mention the batches of cookies we could acheive as well. I am already excited
about the machine and have not won it. Oh Allahu ta’ala please bless to win this machine ameen. I would not be a win for me but for our family ameen.

  34. I bake cookies and cakes and make different types of frostings alot. I mix with a hand mixer which gets very tiring, I would love to have this kitchen aid mixer. Ramadan uses for it would be the “amer-al-din” drink we make for suhoor, and also the maamool we make for eid could be mixed in it.

  35. I make bread and cakes. I use a hand mixer and with my arthritis it makes me want to make them less often. During Ramadan we eat as healthy as possible. No fast foods, nothing out of a box or prepackaged.

All meat is halal and the vegetables come from the farmers market. I have never had a kitchen aid so this would be a blessing.

  36. Duane Middlebrook

In my lifetime I’ve had two of these stand mixers but my ex-wives ran off with them. I really need one! Hope I win.

  37. I’d make yellow cake with chocolate frosting for my iftar gatherings!
    And pizza dough… Naan… Chocolate cake… Yum..

  38. How would you use the stand mixer to make one of your Ramadan meals or desserts for suhoor or iftar if you were to win?

hmmmm, i have alot of recipes i’d like to try this with, one for some nice cupcakes for Eid, i can’t make much of anything right now due to lack of proper equiptment, but id like to make some cupcakes with dates and honey in them and ice and topped of with some lovely sugar pearls, and sugar

but i know i’ll also want to make somethings my family enjoys as well that abit more known [as they are non muslim] a black forest torte, like my Oma use to make when she’d visit from germany, and also her “Butter cake” as she called it ^_^

  39. This would be a great addition to my kitchen for making cakes, cupcakes, dough etc. I like how kitchen looks too :).

  40. I’m currently in to baking and have been using a hand held mixer this would be too awesome! I’ve been thinking of getting one of these because I kept hearing amazing things from my baking friends but I just haven’t taken the plunge just yet. 🙂

I’ve had 5 Ramadans and most of my meals include some form of stew. This Ramadan for the 2nd time since 2010 I’ll be pregnant AND nursing so my iftars need to be more nutrient dense than usual. I’m thinking of adding baked goods. One recipe I will be testing in the next couple of days is whole a wheat honey blackseed flaxseed wheat germ bread with a yeast substitute that my friend suggested. 🙂 Looking forwards to it.

  41. My sister uses this mixer and loves it. I would use the mixer to make home made breads and parathas because I don’t like kneading the dough by hand. My mom used to make parathas for us as kids for suhoor and I would like to revive that tradition. I am getting into baking so I am sure this mixer will be good to have on hand for cakes, cupcakes etc.

  42. Since finding out I am gluten and dairy intolerant I have no choice but to make all my food fresh as a way to save money and make sure I am eating healthy & will not get contaminated. So what I really miss the most is bread….I would make lots and lots of bread Naan, pide, you name it and from whatever country I would make it as food is truly the universal language :O) Many recipes call for a dough hook in order to get the proper aeration which makes a difference especially where I live since I don’t know if it is the elevation, humidity or hard water but to get bakery goods to come out moist and springy is a challenge and not like when I lived on the east coast of the U.S.A. A sausage attachment sounds great too. I miss having hot dogs and sausages as not only do I have the allergies but I also eat halal.

  43. I would love to use some of my mom’s recipes for Iftar food by using this mixer, but I would put a healthier spin on them by using whole wheat flour and coconut oil for parathas, and also using coconut oil for onion bhaji. I just became a mother myself 6 weeks ago; I’d love to show my mom that I can take after her 🙂

  44. Sometimes one needs a little something sweet after fasting, i would use this to make homemade sweets. In general, I think it would assist me in consuming less processed food by making it easier to make not only sweets, but bread, pasta…there are just so many possibilities Alhumdulillah 🙂

  45. If I won this KitchenAid mixer, I’d be able to quickly and efficiently prepare dough for breads that can either be refrigerated and baked right before iftar or pre-bake and freeze rolls and muffins. During Ramadan, you want to find ways to cut down food prep times, and KitchenAid mixers and attachments are great at helping the home cook make quick meals!

  46. I am learning to bake from scratch this would be so handy!

  47. Assalamualaikum ,

I will be spending this ramadan alone and i plan on cooking for my non-Muslim parents as a great way to do dawah…this would come in handy and ive had my eye on this mixer for so long but i cant afford it 🙁
I’ve recently learned how to bake this mixer would really cheer me up since i will be having iftar and sahoor alone without any sisters or my husband

  48. Masha Allah, this will be very helpful for deserts. It will save time and will highly contribute to our masjid bake sales! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  50. Assalamu alaykoum,

This is such a great giveaway idea!!!! As the results will be known by mid-ramadhan inchaallah, I would use it to prepare delicious sweets for after tarawih and Sohour, and more, it will be perfect to prepare delicious traditional cookies for Eid el Fitr to share with family and friends inchaallah!!!

  51. Assalmualeikum,

Ive been wanting a kitchen aid mixer for a really long time ! I would use it to whip up meringues and whipped creams a lot quicker and the attachments only increase the possibilities like making fresh pasta or grinding up veggies to make fresh salsa using the grinder attachment ! More importantly, I would use my mixer in order to make doughs quickly and easily. My mom and I are trying to remodel our families diet to eliminate additives and preservatives and our biggest challenge is replacing the different breads we eat. This mixer would definitely make the process a lot easier.

  52. As salaamu alaykum OMG yes I need one I have been wanting to get into baking and have all these creative and ideas. However most of the baking recipe state you need a mixer sooooo I can’t make much I still try but not as successful. 🙂

  53. I was so excited to win it I didnt answer the question, easy I would use it ever day and not only that inshaAllaah to cook an iftar for the Muslim community for the sake of Allaah so I could get the reward and our bond as Muslims could become stronger inshaAllaah. Hey people love to bond over food and some one may say that good food helps the bond to grow stronger and Allaah knows best 🙂

  54. What an incredible giveaway! Thank you for the chance to win. I love to bake and would love to try my hand at baking bread using a KitchenAid. I have been reading your recipe collection and they sound so good. I have a couple that I am definitely going to try. Thank you again.

  55. I just discovered your website. It is amazing! I think the KitchenAid mixer is a MUST in every kitchen. In Ramadan, I would use it to make different types of breads (savory and sweet) and all sorts of cakes as I love to bake, and I would be very happy to win this one 🙂 Thank you for this wonderful giveaway!

  56. Wow my mom definetly needs one! I always wondered how she has managed in the kitchen without one!!

  57. Wow my mom definetly needs one! I always wondered how she has managed in the kitchen without one!! Haleem would be a breeze to make, as well as dough for rotis in suhoor

  58. Inshallah,

I have always wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer with the accessories for grinding meat and making my own pasta. My kids are getting big enough now to request things for lunch and dinner and this would help make their requests possible!

    Alhumdulila for who ever wins!

  59. As salaamu alaykum I would love to win the mixer, I would use it to make sausage with the ground meat and stuffer tools. I would also use it to try new experiments in cooking that I haven’t been able too.

  60. how sad.. i’m not an u.s resident..

  61. What would I do with the mixer? First I would thank Allah (swt) for the magnificent blessing and then Tweet and blog about winning until the mixer comes!

Then I’d throw out my current menu plan for the month and each day experiment making something new with my machine. I’ve wanted one for so long, but as a one income homeschooling family we can never afford such a luxury.

I’d love make more herbed breads and the meat, larger batches of ice cream, more cakes. I love homecooking and this blog and would try so many more things with a wonderful tool like this!

Shukran, May Allah bless you for sharing this give away for the Ummah.

  62. Salam,
My husband and I fully agreed that we will try our best to feed our children only with healthy and halal food. With that in mind, I do a lot of home-made cookings. I have been faithfully using my $10 hand mixer for the last 10 years. With 4 kids kids now, I would longed for a stand mixer so that I can run around keeping my eyes on my growing kids, while at the same time still be able to prepare them home cooked food. But for a beautiful and gleaming KitchenAid mixer would be too much to ask while my old-faithful hand-mixer is still able to do its job. If I win, I would use it to make lots of healthy bread (for suhoor and iftar)and some cakes and dessert to sweeten our iftar. Insha-Allah, with the new stand mixer’s help in the kitchen, I will have more time for ibadah in this holy month. Thank you so much for this generous give-away.

  63. I’d use the mixer for Ayran! Yogurt drink! Great for hot summer iftars, refreshing and healthy! Prepare it ahead of time, let it chill till the iftar time. you may use mint..

  64. I would love to have a Kitchen aid stand mixer. I have wanted one since 2005 but have not been able to afford one. I would make date cookies (Mamool) and give them out for favors at the Eid parties I attend. I would make pita bread and so much more.
I will leave it in the hands of Allah that I will win this as I never win any giveaways or raffles my daughter is the blessed one she wins all raffles that she enters So I will leave here name here as added luck/blessing (Khaliya)

  65. AOA.

I would love this Kitchen Aid stand mixer for my mother. She has always wanted one to help her with cooking her breads.

I can just imagine myself winning this mixer and making pakora mix in it. In my house, my dad always says ” Ramazan is not Ramazan without pakoras”. Also, I would make a lot of the Lebanese pastries that I bake in this.

If I were to win this, InshaAllah, I will donate the first batch of anything I make in this to the nearby mosques for iftar.

  66. Sonia Syed Rehman

Asalam Alaikum, Happy Ramadan! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to participate in KitchenAid stand mixer giveaway. As a person of Pakistani origin, I make roti (flat bread) every day, twice a day. It would be very convenient to have a stand mixer to knead dough gor rotis. My mornings usually start with kneading dough for the day and I do it with hands. Having a machine to do it for me feels like living in modern world already. It would be a blessing to have such a luxury for long summer days of Ramadan!
May Allah keep us safe and on the righteous path in this life and hereafter, ameen.

  67. There’s always less time to cook during this month. I’d use the mixer to help me knead bread and make cakes and cupcakes for dessert!

  68. I have one already but would love to gift one to my sister for Eid who loves to bake! I know she would use it to make some sweet iftar treats or some savory post tarawih snacks. It will definitely shorten her time in the kitchen, giving her more time to focus on spiritual matters.

  69. I enjoy making homemade bread and other goodies for my family and also a local medical hostel. My current mixer is a little small for making the size batches I’d like to make for them. This size would be wonderful!! 🙂

  70. I’m currently trying to learn how to cook. To be honest, I do know how to cook but just the usual meals. I am trying to expand the way I cook and the types of meals that I cook. I’ve noticed that for some of the more extensive recipes that I want to make, I would need a mixer of this caliber. The problem is that they are expensive for me at the moment because I am on a limited budget. I really hope that I can win this mixer.

  71. Honestly, I’ve never had a mixer! I do everything by hand. This would be such a
big help. I haven’t always been kitchen friendly. Since I got married, I’ve
learned new recipes and making as much as I can from scratch. Breads, cookies,
cakes, lots of other great foods. My husband always jokes with me ‘Syrian women
spend Twelve Hours a Day in the kitchen and they never get divorced!’ At first
I told him, ‘Honey, I’m from Jersey. You’re lucky I can make you a grilled
cheese sandwich.’ My skills have grown since then. And this mixer may cut my
time in the kitchen to less than twelve hours, but it would absolutely help my
skills grow so I can make better foods for my husband, my family and my friends.

  72. *Just noticed I said ‘may cut my time in the kitchen to less than twelve hours’.. Ha.. Let’s say, will probably stop me from ever hitting 12 hours a day in the kitchen… Inshallah, This Ramadan with this Mixer, My hands and forearms would probably last 12 hours in the kitchen.. My breads will be better.. My batches of cookies would be larger.. Making my own sausage for Suhoor and different flavors for Iftar.. This is a great opportunity…

  73. salamu alikum,i would loooove to have this mixer sooo badly i love baking a lots of my frind asks me to start baking for customers and since my husband lost his job a year ago i realy think about that now but i need help my self so i can help him and make it to bettere situation, thank you all for giving such great appoortunities like allh bless you.

  74. I think the first thing I would do with a new kitchen aid is whip up a batch of Pioneer Womans cinnamon rolls! I can’t imagine a better suhoor than those and who needs to waste precious moments of Ramadan hand-mixing dough when you can throw it all in that beautiful mixer and have it do the “magic” for you?! Jazakillah khair for this great opportunity and Ramadan Mubarak!

  75. I would use it to prepare mixes that I could freeze for quick preparation to add to or mix with other fresh ingredients when pressed for time.

  76. I have been pining for a Kitchen Aid for a long time and would LOVE to have one.

  77. I have been wanting to make all of our own breads and this Kitchen Aid mixer would be the perfect jump start! It would be ideal for wet doughs like ciabatta, which is practically impossible to mix by hand, because of it’s power. During Ramadan, I would use it to shred chicken, make all types of doughs (including m’semmen for suhoor), cakes and desserts and Eid cookies.

  78. Aaah! it really is a beauty! I have always wanted a kitchenaid mixer. i have to always use the external mixers without the bowl. I would probably make my 100 calorie cheesecupcakes that my whole family loves and are super healthy.

ramadan isnt all about eating fried food! we should try to eat healthy 🙂

  79. Hi, I love your website, and I’ve been wanting a kitchen add mixer for a long time! If I got one I would use it to make homemade sausages for sehri, make my own ground beef to avoid the nasty by products in some ground beef. Since I converted, I’ve realized that there a very few non-halal items, like sausages, that I actually miss, so I would love to make my own halal versions at home! Also, my four year old son loves baking and I would use it with him to make cakes and breads. I’ve also tried to switch over to a whole grain diet in our househould and want to bake my own whole grain breads, cakes, etc. as finding store mixes is really hard!

JAK and Ramadan Mubarak to everyone!

  80. I would love to have a mixer!! My mom does everything by hand and we have never had a mixer. I definitely have tried to learn how to “mix” by hand but it’s too difficult so I would love a mixer. We have never purchased one because we can’t afford it.
I would definitely use it during Ramadan to help my mom make fresh homemade bread. My mom always makes it and she’s getting older so I need something to help make it easier on her and me. I love to bake cakes and Afghan pastries so I would definitely use it for those during Ramadan and to get prepared for Eid as well Inshallah!

  81. I would use this to make new recipes and things I would have never tried!

  82. After traveling a bit, I realize we often miss the joy and pleasure of simple, homemade basics like bread! I would love to be able to use the mixer to make more fresh breads for my growing family; then I wont’ have to worry about high fructose corn syrup and other nefarious ingredients because I’ll know exactly what’s going into it! Jazakullah khair

  83. This kitchenaid would really help me with kneading due to my wrist injury!

  85. Aaah! it really is a beauty! I have always wanted a kitchenaid mixer. i have to always use the external mixers without the bowl. I would probably make my 100 calorie cheesecupcakes that my whole family loves and are super healthy.

ramadan isnt all about eating fried food! we should try to eat healthy 🙂

  86. With the mixer, I would definitely enjoy making hearty cakes and breads for suhoor.

  87. As we all know this mixer is every woman’s dream. I have looked at it in so many shops yet couldn’t move myself to put it in the shopping cart. We just give up for reasons unknown and continue dreaming. Finally a giveaway of this awakens all our dreams again. Before possessing it, our ideas will only be a handful, but after having it in the cabinet, it will open a door of endless possibilities and experiments. I ve been married for a year now and been wanting to try out oven dishes. But unfortunately they call for a mixer. I never resorted to the hand mixer since my wrists cant bear much weight and they start hurting. If this mixer is around, kneading, folding, whipping would all become a piece of cake! A more beneficial use would be mincing meat with the mincer attachment. I am not very fond of buying minced meat. I rather like to make my own hygienically. For Ramadhan this would be a very handy tool. It will be of use to knead dough for flat breads/whole grain breads/samboosas, whip up some strawberry ice cream to cool the scorching heat and some healthy yogurt based dipping to accompany breads for an additional cooling effect, shred vegges for a healthy salad, make desserts like macaroons, carrot cake, date/chocolate pudding, brownies, cupcakes, angel food cake to satisfy the sweet cravings and last but not the least of the endless possibilities, I’d love to mince meat that I will probably use in a 100 other dishes. I wish not to take the entire space. These delicacies are just a miniscule of what can be tried in this Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer which fulfills a woman’s kitchen dream in a snap. Have a blessed Ramadhan everyone!

  88. Salam!

If I win this beautiful mixer, inshaAllah. I will make my mother in laws yummy “…….. pie” and share it with all those who have entered this contest. It would be something that can be frozen, and kept for later. inshaAllah

    Bismillah hirahman niraheem

  89. I would like to try to make different types of pastry dough.

  90. We have loved our KitchenAid mixer like a member of the family for years! Unfortunately it went into mixer retirement recently after a particularly tough day with a borrowed grain mill attachment. We are missing it terribly and a new one would certainly be a welcome re-addition to our kitchen!

  91. I am a baking enthusiast and sadly don’t own my own mixer 🙁 I recently graduated from college so I am a little broke and I am still living at home. My mom has a KitchenAid Mixer and I use it way more than her!! Having my own would be so amazing!

  92. I would definitely use this to make lots and lots of homemade bread! Thanks for the giveaway!

  93. Every Friday night I make pizza for our family movie night, and it would be SO much easier with this mixer. Not to mention bread making, cookies and other amazing treats. What a beauty and a dream!

  94. i would love to win this as my daughter is wanting to open a cupcake shoppe some day soon and this would be an amazing tool she could use in her kitchen:)

  95. I have a classic… it’s so small. I bake a LOT, would love to have this bigger one too!

  96. I have been married for 33 years and made countless cookies, cakes and breads with a hand mixer. I have made pasta and decided that to bag it because I did not have the appropriate tools to make it worth my time! I think it is about time I had a decent mixer! Now that I have grandkids I would love to win this mixer, and make more cookies, cakes, breads, and YES! PASTA!!!!

  97. What a wonderful opportunity to win this!

I would love to have one of these mixers to make wholesome snacks and meals for my family!

    Thanks for this chance.

  98. I have been wanting one of these babies for a really long time. I would make bread, pasta, deserts, oh and more deserts. Yummy.

  99. Oh my goodness! What wouldn’t I use a wonderful mixer for?? I recently became a full time single mommy so I’m sure I could find all sorts of fun recipes to make with my son (who is always a budding cook himself 🙂 ) I also adore making recipes for overseas troops and making chocolate zucchini bread is much easier with a bigger mixer…. But of course for myself, I’d have to make some more of my famous maple brown sugar banana bread! Melts in your mouth! And since I just returned from the local farmer’s market, I am already full of new and exciting ideas for fresh fruits and veggies! Right now I am trying to figure out how to make a strawberry lemon tart which would fit wonderfully in this summer season 🙂

  100. Can use it to make the best spice cake ever!

  101. I would love this 7 quart Kitchen Aid mixer because I like to make cookies for people because it brings a smile to the face and makes them very happy to receive yummy made-from-scratch cookies. This mixer would help me to make a LOT of cookie dough and bring lots of joy to people. I really, really hope I will win this. A silver one would be great.

  102. I do not have one yet! But would love to have one! I need to learn how to make sugar free or sugarless cookies for my 10 yr old who has been told she is per diabetic and needs to cut sugars

  103. I would use this for every recipe i WANT to make and have a hard time because it calls for a stand mixer in the recipe!!! it would come out so much better if i had the right tools!

  104. I would LOVE a stand mixer to make my own pasta! And stuff my own sausages!

  105. I have wanted a KA Mixer FOREVER. I have recently started making as much food as I can to avoid pre-processed foods. I want to start making fresh pasta and this mixer would help with the pasta attachment. My little hand mixer is sad. I also have 6 dogs and have started making their dog treats from scratch. That alone keeps me busy. So this mixer would be a dream!

  106. I recently had my right foot amputated and am learning how to cook, clean, all of the necessities of life. Having a Kitchen Aid Mixer would be such a help to me in the kitchen since I’m in a wheelchair and have to cook from there. It would give me the chance to try new recipes, chop things I’ve been unable to do thus far, and aid me in many, many ways. Once I’m able to get my new limb and stand more, I’ll be able to use this wonderful tool to do more things, I’m sure. Thank you for this opportunity to win such a fantastic prize!!!

  107. I bake alot here and need something with extra power to keep up with our needs. Also I am looking to begin making our own pasta and ground meats so rather than filling my kitchen with 1001 appliances the mixer plus additional attachments would do that for me. Trying to feed your family in a mindful matter these days takes some effort!

  108. make sausages pasta cakes

  109. I would love a new mixer as mine is well used. We use it every week to make pizza dough on Friday nights. We also regularly make cookies, breads, and lot of other goodies 😉

  110. I don’t observe Ramadan, but had the pleasure of being taught to make a semolina bread called Khobz dyal Smida that I love. Having a KitchenAid mixer would make the preparation much faster and easier!

  111. I want to participate too :'(, but I live in Argentina… So sad… sniff 🙁

  112. I would use it to make my homemade dog biscuits that i plan on starting a business selling. It would be so much easier than trying to knead the dough by hand. Thanks so much for this opportunity. God bless.

  113. I would use a second kitchen aid mixer to help with business and to be able to create more delicious desserts and other goodies I already make.

  114. Thank you both for the giveaway! I would start by making some bread!

  115. I would love a KitchenAid mixer to help with making all kinds of baked treats to sell. Its hard to do things with a hand-held mixer, or by hand with a sturdy wooden spoon. It would mean a big difference in the number of orders I can take in. I am trying to save money for a house and to be able to win a mixer like this would help me work a lot faster at achieving that dream.

  116. I would love a KitchenAid stand mixer to make super huge batches of cookies

  117. What wouldn’t I use it for ? There are so many uses!

  118. I love to bake and this would help me a lot!

  119. My 2 1/2 year old LOVES to help me bake! I enjoy that time with him, too. This would help us to make/create all sorts of breads and cookies (our favorites) to share with others. My mother is particularly fond of one of our cookie recipes 🙂
    Thanks for the opportunity!

  120. le cordon blue

  121. Have used KA for 10 yrs. Would love to have a bigger one.

  122. I don’t have one yet but would love one! I am very close to my 5 siblings and we get together every Sunday for dinner. I would love to be able to make homemade cakes, breads, etc for our get-togethers! :o)

  123. I have been wanting, or rather needing, a Kitchen Aid mixer for 20 years. My family and I have now made major lifestyle changes and cook mostly from scratch and whole foods. Each of us have food sensitivities and in our rural area it is very difficult to find gluten free/sugar free/sugar substitute free products so making them would be ideal for many reasons. The mixer and attachments would be used daily and any color would be just fine. I do however fancy the red one even if it doesn’t match a thing in my kitchen! Maybe one day we could change the kitchen to match it?! ha ha A girl can dream right? 😉

  125. I don’t own a Kitchenaid Stand mixer as of yet, but I would love one! I would be making my own bread on a daily basis!

  126. I’d use this to help my close friend prepare for her Ramadan meals. It’ll be her first year away from her family and with that amount of food to prepare, I’m sure she’ll appreciate the help. I’d probably use the mixer to make some hummus or some baba ghanoush. Or maybe for some tasty dessert. The possibilities are endless

  127. I would love to win a new KA Mixer. I love making bread and pasta with my KA mixer.

  128. Vanessa Inchaurregui

  134. I would love to win this so that I start baking more. This would be awesome for kneading bread with the dough hook. 🙂

  135. I would use it to make butter, bread, grind meat, and many, many other baked goods and canned goods!!

  136. I have wanted a silver or cobalt Kitchenaid mixer for decades. I had a hand me down Sunbeam, now deceased, but it wasn’t the same. I love to cook from scratch, and every day I say to myself that something I am making would be easier or better with a stand mixer. Feeding people good food brings me joy. Some things I don’ even try to make any more without one. I hope your random engine picks me!

  137. I would love to have one of these mixers because I love to bake bread and other goodies for my family, friends, neighbors, husband’s work and both my daughter’s school and the school that I work at. My current mixer is too small to make larger batches, especially bread dough. My husband’s co-workers and all of the teachers would thank you over and over again!

  138. Ooooo, let me count the ways! I have the pro version of but it’s strictly used for gluten free purposes. I need a non-GF one for everything else! Would love to experiment with all the cool accessories like sausage making. Maybe put my dog’s homemade raw into sausages! How amazing would that be?! Fun!

  139. I love baking for my hubby and we try to eat healthy, which means homemade and large batches: perfect job for a KitchenAid! There’s so many cookie recipes on Pinterest I want to try!

  140. I would LOVE to win this mixer, in either black or silver! I make cakes all the time, and I know this beauty would be helpful! Especially to make the icing! Yummmmm!!

  143. I would love to try the ice cream attachment!!

  144. I bake and cook a lot from scratch for my family, and I knead all my doughs for breads and pizza by hand and it gets tiring. When I make treats such as cookies and cupcakes I use my hand mixer and that takes a lot of time to make. So winning this machine will be wonderful as then I can now make more dishes for my family. Thank you.

I would love to win this and if I did it would help me mix cake cupcake and cookie batters instead of by hands so I can bring great joy to others faces faster

  150. What a wonderful way to put the family in that Norman Rockwell picture! Have all the tools to complete it. Baking is a passion and trying new and interesting recipes would be much easier with a free standing Kitchenaid mixer! Pink would be my color of choice!

  151. I would love this mixer because I am a student, and when I’m not working or studying my hobby is to cook and bake. A KitchenAid stand mixer would help me continue to test recipes from my great-grandmother’s recipe book. She was such an incredible baker, and I hope to publish some of her recipes someday. I use my mother’s KitchenAid while I’m at home, which she’s had since the 1980s so I know how reliable and how durable they are. If I win, I would love a silver one because it’s so sleek and would go very well with any kitchen, in my opinion.

  152. margaret blassingame

I really love the colbalt blue one but if i only had the forementioned colors to choose from I would get silver. I would really be happy with any color. I love the KitchenAid mixers. One has been on my wish list for years. It would help with all my culinary school homework.

  153. mary fanara coleman

I have always wanted a Kitchen aid stand mixer but could never afford one. I come from a family of bakers. I love love love to BAKE the most! Especially during the holidays I make many different Hungarian and Italian pastries. This would make it so much easier if I was using a Kitchen Aid. I looked up on the net about the Ramadan meals… I see that they are light, nutritious meals containing fresh fruits, vegetables, and halal meats.I think I may look into these recipes. Looks good to me and I love new things to bake.

  154. I would make homemade butter, and lots of it if I had this nice big KA!! Thanks for the chance!

  157. I would take the onyx color, if I were to win. I have had a Kitchen Aid mixer on my wish list for the last 12 years, my wife says there to expensive and that she can do just as good by hand. I think I would make alot more homemade bread, pizza dough for pizza and for dough boys. I just think one would be great and give my wife a much needed rest.

  158. I would love to win a Kitchenaid mixer to give to my Daughter. She makes cookies, cakes and cake pops for her son. She doesn’t have a mixer and mixes by hand. It would make her baking prep so much easier. Thank you for this opportunity to try to win one.

  159. Kate Dusinberre

    I would love a mixer!

  160. Can’t wait to get my stand mixer

  162. Oh the ways I would use it! I don’t personally observe Ramadan but I just love trying out new recipes.

  163. We love breads and I’ve been making naan by hand for a while. This would definitely make the job easier. Thanks for the chance to win!

  165. Heather Lockhart

I would love to use it to actually bake more for my children, which I have 5 of. This would help to cut down my time with mixing everything by hand. It is hard when I have limited time do bake, which I love to do. My husband is always out of town and it would be great if I could bake him some of his favorite homemade peanut butter cookies.

  166. Jennifer Bunderson

I am a junk food lover and love to bake!! I would love to use this to make tons and tons of cookies of course……but I would love a mixer to try to dough recipes for pizza and bread!

  167. I would use the mixer for homemade bread. I would love to win one!

  168. Kitchen aid mixers are my life savers. First thing comes to mind when ramadan comes would be fig and date bread which i give out to my friends during this time. Thinking that another kitchen aid would definitely help with this task. i would love to have a red kitchen aid mixer as red is my favorite color but any color will do. Thank you for this giveaway. hope i get picked 🙂

  169. I would use it to make vast quantities of bread. Also, if I had a KitchenAid I’d likely make homemade pasta more often than I do entirely by hand!

  170. I would make bread and sweets!

  171. I have never had even a regular mixer even though I do an enormous amount of cooking for my family. Why? I really just have done everything the old way. My mom never had one, and my grandmother didn’t either. I don’t know how much this mixer would ease my burden when I’m cooking but if it’s as good as it sounds, I would be forever grateful.

  172. I’d love to win one, and would prefer the Fire Engine Red. In my younger years I drove a Red Fire Truck and was a proud firefighter. Now, I help to fight the demons in the mind of the mentally ill. Daddy always told me I could be whatever I wanted when I grew up; I’m almost 50 years old and still looking for what I want to be! I’ve never owned a KitchenAid Mixer, but have bought several for gifts for children and friends. I’m graduating in a couple of weeks with my Masters’ degree in Nursing – I reckon it’s my turn to mix things up in style!!!!

First thing I’d make – bread. And then – bread. And then maybe – bread….

  173. I would love to win this one. I’ve wanted one for years but have never been able to fit it in my budget. I test recipes for an online site and sometimes have to decline a recipe because I don’t have a stand mixer. This sure would come in handy. I could also bake more for my family in general.

  174. I have only had hand mixers and have really stressed them out baking. Especially when I make dozens of Blarney Stones each year. Last year I burned up a motor mixing batter. With grandchildren on the near horizon, it would be great to be able to bake with them. I just remodeled my kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a silver one would look great on my countertop.

  175. I would absolutely love to win the red one.. or any color at that 🙂 it would make life much easier when i could make some yummy stuff for the fam!

  176. I love to cook but being disabled is making it more difficult for me as time goes on so having a this stand mixer would be a great help to me in the kitchen especially when preparing for our large family gatherings of 20 to 30 people. Making everything from potatoes to cookies, to cakes and quick breads, to breads and dips, so many things I love to make and share with family and friends will be possible again with the help of your KitchenAid Stand Mixer.

  177. I would love it. It would make mixing bread so much easier!

  178. I bake almost everyday, for my family and friends. I have worn out several mixers, never could afford the good ones. I can just imagine the desserts that I could make and share. I would love a red one to go with my Coca Cola kitchen….^_^

  179. We had a Kitchen Aid stand mixer at our family owned restaurant that lasted for forever, even under pretty strenuous conditions! We no longer have the restaurant but are avid at home cooks now & would use it to teach our kids some of their dads “secret family recipes”!

  180. I Need a KitchenAid Stand Mixer because I’ll use it to make breakfast, lunch and dinner for my whole family. It would NEVER leave my kitchen countertop. I would love to test new recipes. I love kitchenAid!

  181. Chelise Anderson

While my family and I do not celebrate Ramadan, further reasearch reveals that there is a meal from the acceptable Iftar menu that my family loves: Hummus! We love to make it home-made but it is difficult to hand mix sesame oil into the chickpeas. If I win, I definately plan on making a batch of home-made garlic and pepper hummus. Thank you for this opportunity!

  182. the food mixer i have is about 20+ years old and on it’s last leg….. I would LOVE to have a KitchenAid. i know they last and last and last, and i love the attachments that you can use with it. my grandma had one for as long as i can remember. (one of the originals) i’d use it frequently, when i bake bread, cakes, cookies or umpteen other uses that it has! i think all the colors are so pretty. i really like the red, but would be happy with any color!!!

  183. I would use the mixer to make my husband’s family recipes. I currently use his grandmothers old Kitchen Aid mixer, it still works and I love it, but live in fear for the day that I break the family heirloom.

  184. I have my mom’s old KA mixer from 1969. It is avocado green and it still works, although it is very tired. I would be able to give the green mixer a rest if I won this one. Mostly I use it for baking but I have been known to break out the grating attachment to grate up bar soap for a homemade laundry soap recipe.

  185. I would love to win a silver kitchen aid mixer in order to make my own sausages like chicken, apple, sage, and onion ones. We do not celebrate Ramadan but do eat many Halal meats.

  186. OMG! I would love a 7 qt. mixer!! The thought of being able to make 14 dozen cookies at once,WOW. I currently have a 4.5 qt KitchenAid that I dearly love, but sometimes a double batch of cookies is just a bit much for it. I am an avid baker and bread maker and I am dying to experiment with some new bread recipes. Not to mention the homemade ice cream that could be made with this. I am drooling just thinking of the possiblities!

  187. I would love this new Kitchen Aid stand mixer because one of my true passions in life is to bake. My husband bought me a Kitchen Aid stand mixer when we first started dated (it was our frist Christmas together) and it has withstood many years of great service for me. I would love nothing more than to replace my mixer with a shiny, new, much larger mixer.

  188. My goodness what a beautiful large mixer. I did not realize they made one this big. I use mine mostly for my eight layer, cooked chocolate frosting cake. I make them often as family and friends love them for birthday’s, anniversaries, just because. I enjoy making them, especially for others. This mixer would be a blessing as I could do two cakes at one time. Now if I could just get a double oven…!

  189. I really need this mixer I have an old hand mixer now and every time I make a cake I get a kink in my neck that lasts for a week lol. I would try an Italian meringue buttercream recipe again my first attempt was an epic fail!

  190. I have always wanted one of these mixers and, since the color came out, my top choice has been chrome red. It would look so good whipping egg whites together for meringue cookies, which have been a joy in helping me indulge in a healthy and moderate way. I would also love to be able to mix up my mother’s potato bread with the aid of the powerful KitchenAid dough hooks. I have never made Ramadan meals, but the dishes look light and tasty; I may have to give some a try should I win this mixer. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  191. I would love a silver one. My 16 year old daughter and I would create and master cupcake and frosting recipes so she can start an in home cupcake business that she has been hounding me about.

  192. I would make a bread recipe that I recieved from a friend on my wedding day. I have only made it once in 8 years because it requires lots of kneading. It would be a great tradition to start with my kids.

  193. This mixer looks amazing–I would make all kinds of things if I had it!

  194. Qatayef and nuts? Sounds delicious!

Food means sharing to me. Also, as a college student who goes to university with a wide breadth of international/interfaith students, this would be a great tool to help share in their celebration!

  195. Sharolyn Tilton

Love…love…love the red one!! Over the years I have cooked many a meal without the ease of one of these outstanding mixers. I would so love to have one now as I’ve gotten older. Now I cook for grandchildren and our weekly home group. Love to share what cooking skills I’ve learned over the years, with the younger generation.

  196. My current Kitchenaid is old and too small for my growing family. I use my Kitchenaid at least 4 times a week, if not more, so I’d LOVE to upgrade. I do a lot of gluten free cooking, so a new Kitchenaid would spend it’s time not only looking pretty on my counter, but it would quickly be put to work mixing batters, bread doughs and ice cream!

  197. Please pick me!!! I LOVE this mixer!!!

  198. I would make homemade bread for sure. I already make it often, but do not have a stand mixer. How much simpler it would be to let the mixer do all the kneading!!

  199. I wanna win this for my wife!

  200. My three girls and I love to bake. There’s nothing we can’t do with the amazing Kitchen Aid mixer!! Sure would look good on my counter.

  216. I would use my KitchenAid Stand Mixer for making homemade pasta. I’ve always dreamed of being able to eliminate store made pasta for homemade. Making the dough, the filling, and the sauce would be both rewarding and delicious. Having a KitchenAid would also help getting healthy dinner on the table and nutritious lunch in the bag during the week.

  217. I use this mixer to make all the different cookie doughs I make for the cookie platters we give out for Christmas every year.

  218. I would use the KitchenAid Stand Mixer to make mashed potato casserole. I need this heavy duty mixer as you start out with 10-12 potatoes and add butter and sourcream. This mixer would whip these up beautifully!

  226. My 2 granddaughters and grandson and I make cookies every time they come to visit me. Also, I make pound cakes for Christmas presents. I am always baking something, and trying out new desert recipes. I would love to have a KitchenAid mixer to use. I think KitchenAid is the best!!!

  227. I would make lots of chocolate chip cookies for my grandchildren. I would also make more pound cakes for Christmas presents. I love KitchenAid!!! I think they are the best!!

  228. I would use it to make cakes and swiss meringue icings! I’ve burnt out so many hand mixers trying to make swiss meringue the correct way.

In my area (southwestern PA), there are no restaurants or shops that offer a variety of vegan foods. I would love to eventually own a place, along with my daughter, so that people could enjoy it all!! Thanks for this chance to win!

  230. There aren’t many things out there that make me happier than baking. I have two favorite moments whenever I bake something: the moment when while waiting for your goodies to bake you can suddenly smell whatever’s in the oven! I get goosebumps whenever I get that first whiff of cinnamon that crawls into my nose while my pumpkin pie bakes or when I can finally smell the chocolate of my double-chocolate brownies. My second favorite moment is the instant reaction people get whenever they try the first bite of one of my treats. When their eyes close and they can’t help but squeak out an “mmm” with their mouths full of whatever I’ve concocted! Like I said, few things make me happier than that.
If I had a KitchenAid stand mixer(something I have ALWAYS wanted but could never afford) I’d be able to do one of the things I love the most MUCH better than I can with my $16 dollar electric hand mixer! I could finally try making my own bread or really prefect my cake batter.

  231. i love kitchenaid. and i would love to expand to a bigger size so that i can make double recipes and not over work my little one. 🙂 thanks for doing this – there are so many recipes i want to try but can’t because i don’t have a big enough mixer.

  239. Oh, how I need one…a silver one!
I would use it for EVERYTHING! 🙂 I’d use it for pasta, bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, whipped creams and mousse, pies…everything.

  240. How would I use it? Good gravy, how would I NOT use it? I’d beat cake batter into submission. I’d whip whipped cream silly. I’d knead dough senseless. I’d roll that ricotta pie filling until it’s reeling… OK, I’ve run out of clever things to say about what I’d do with a KitchenAid stand mixer. The point is, I’d go on a baking frenzy. And maybe I’d mash a few potatoes too.

  241. I would bake bread, cookies, cakes and other desserts! With the Kitchenaid mixer, it would be a breeze!

  244. What wouldn’t I be doing is a better one. I would not be sitting and watching TV endlessly, cleaning the house, doing laundry, or just sitting there day dreaming. 7/22

  276. I love to bake and because I am disabled I was unable to go to pastry school so I bake at home any chances I can get. Also when I make my grandpas homemade pizza dough its best to use a kitchen aid mixer. He is no longer living so we would like to make it often to think of him. He is my inspiration to bake and cook.

  277. Love this giveaway!

I would LOVE to win the KitchenAid Stand Mixer in RED or SILVER, but would be happy with black or white too!!

  280. I would LOVE to win the KitchenAid Stand Mixer in RED or SILVER, but would like black or white too, as long as I won one!:) I do a lot of cooking and baking and this would be so helpful, now that I will be moving out and starting college. This would make life so much easier!

  281. I would like to try making marshmallows with the stand mixer.

  282. Alexandra Dorman

I would make my favorite Chicken Halal dish, with grilled vegetables and home made halal sauce.

  283. This would be an amazing prize to win, especially in RED. My teenage girls and I would put this KitchenAid Stand Mixer to good use. I have a baker, who would shower us with cookies, brownies and delectable cakes. Of course my other sous chef would take care of the savory dishes. As i always say, “A family that cooks together, stays together.”

  284. I use my small KitchenAid for everything. I’ve recently started some intense baking adventures and I love using my dough hook to mix homemade fondant (I use Marshmallow fondant a lot). It makes the process about a million times easier. I am dying to get the ice cream attachment though… oh the trouble I would get into.

  285. My kitchenaids is 12 years old and still working but I do want a new pink one. I used it to make cakes and cookies all the time. But I also used it to make mashed potato because it comes so smooth. Love to win one!!

  286. This mixer will be really useful for my pita bread, which would go great with my lentils soup. The soup would be an excellent choice for my Iftar, something light and full of nutrition and yet it’s light and warm for my tummy ^_^ and of course after finishing my Iftar, I would love to have a hot green tea with my upside down cake, which ,I hope, is made from this wonderful mixer ^_^

Yet I still can prepare some easy muffins that I can have them for my Suhoor with a cup of warm milk for starting up my fasting day ^_^

Wow…..I still have tons of ideas to put this beautiful mixer in use 😉

  287. I forgot to add that…it would be a great great great Eid gift ever! ^_^

  288. 我是一名家庭煮妇,拥有一架 KitchenAid Stand Mixer in RED or SILVER also can.

  289. Cant wait till the winner is announced! would love to use it for EVERYTHING

  290. If I win, I will use the KitchenAid to bake cupcakes to my family and friends, as I already do but it would make it ten times easier to mix the ingredients in the KitchenAid. Also, I would use it to practice other recipes before I enter to culinary school. I believe it would help me in many ways to cook many different meals and of course to keep baking my delicious cupcakes.

  291. I would make everything and maybe try bread

  292. You can throw a cake into the mixer then add frosting to make the perfect texture cake ball.

  293. Salam

  294. Ok so I need this to spoil my husband with homemade bread!8

  295. Diane Divecchia

I have wanted one of these mixers for a very long time. The possibilities of what I can make are endless. I love to cook and bake but as I get older the less I can do with my traditional mixer. When my body says no I could say Yes I can make that. I would make very good use of this beautiful mixer. The silver would be my choice of color.

  296. Eid baking! Its been a tradition in our family to bake up many kinds of sweets starting days before Eid! We then distribute plates to our neighbors ( with a short note explaining Ramadan and Eid ul Fitr) and to all our friends and family on Eid day as we hop from house to house! 🙂

Ramadan mubarak to you all 🙂

  297. Hi, what a wonderful review and giveaway. Thank you!

  298. I’d use this mixer instead of holding my hand mixer when I prep coffee cake.

  299. I’m just getting into baking and I love making fresh bread. The smell is amazing throughout the house and my husband loves to walk in and smell bread baking. I make loaves of bread, a Yemeni bread called malowach, and another yemeni bread called Sabaya (which is a complicated layered bread, that is eaten with honey.) The only thing that makes me hesitant to bake sometimes is the kneading of the dough. I have arthritis and if I make bread, you can bet your bottom dollar that in the evening my whole arm will be throbbing in pain. A stand mixer would definitely allow me to become a seasoned baker!

  300. to make batch after batch of cinnamon rolls for my family and friends

  301. I’d give my 20 year old KitchenAid (which still works great but isn’t as awesome as this one) to my niece.

  302. I would use it to make Sheer Maal.

  303. I would love to make holiday candies with a Red KitchenAid Mixer.

  304. I use my kitchen aid stand mixer for virtually everything. To be honest all holidays and celebrations start in my kitchen with me at my kitchen aid! From cakes and ice creams, to burgers and sausages, there is nothing I can’t tackle with a kitchen aid stand mixer. I have had mine for over 10 years now and am in desperate need of an upgrade. It’s time to pass the torch (the old one) down to my son and help ignite the passion and love of food that I have in him.

  305. Just used my kitchen aid to make samosa dough for iftaar

  306. I’d really like to use it to bake tuille cookies and pumpkin cake rolls too 🙂

  307. I would use it to make cookies and decorate them with icing for school bake sales and holiday treats with my kids!

  308. Rachel Egleston

With a new mixer, I would bake with my family the most delicious chocolate chip cookies and brownies then share them. We love to make extras to take to work or give to the neighbors. I have a hand-me-down avocado green mixer handed down from my grandma to my mom and now me, that I would pass on to my younger cousin who is just starting out on her own.

  309. To make special burger meat using the different attachments and mix cupcake batters which I usually mix with a hand mixer to make a few dozen cupcakes. I’ve never had a stand mixer and would love to get it to make it easier for me when I have to make these things for my whole extended family.

  310. I would love to learn how to make cinnamon rolls

  311. I’d love to bake my new hubby some of his favorite spritz cookies from his Mom’s recipe!!! Gorgeous mixer!

  312. I picked some zucchini out of garden today and made zucchini bread. I was thinking how much better it would be if I had a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer instead of my ancient hand mixer!

  313. I would make alot of cakes for my family and friends.

  314. I really would love to start baking bread and this would be a huge help!

  315. If I had a KitchenAid stand mixer, I would make all of the delicious recipes that have been handed down in my family. It would make day-to-day cooking so easier, and the mixers are so versatile! I have heard that KitchenAid mixers last forever, but I would be up for the challenge of seeing if I could wear it out! 😉

  316. Would love to make a lemon meringue pie with this new KitchenAid mixer! :o)

  317. I would make a meal from beginning to end using this KitchenAid stand mixer. My meal would consist of sweet dinner rolls, using the dough hook, meatloaf, using the flat beater, mashed potatoes, also using the flat beater and the water jacket (I hope there’s one for the 7qt stand mixer) to keep them hot, a peach cobbler using again the flat beater and possibly the whisk for those wanting a whipped topping, and finally, vanilla bean ice cream to top the peach cobbler using the ice cream attachment.

  318. I bake an awful lot, but not so much anymore since the motor on my old stand mixer burned out. Sometimes I’ll make pastries and pastas by hand, but just not to the same capacity as before. With this new mixer I could make mounds and mounds of delicious foods!

  319. I’m not Muslim, so I wouldn’t use the Kitchen Aid Mixer to make a halal dish, but I’d still like one.

  320. I need an upgrade! The one I have now is TOO SMALL. I use it for everything and it just is NOT BIG ENOUGH.

  321. I would be able to retire my old Sunbeam mixer that is on its last leg.

  322. Barbara Wallerstedt

From the time I could not even see the top of the kitchen counter I watched my grandmother make her kolaches. She used a KitchenAid Mixer and I dreamed one day I would help her and get to use her mixer. I never got the opportunity to do it and she is long gone and with her, her kolache recipe.
Now that I have a grandson, I have been thinking about finally getting a KitchenAid Mixer and somehow get a kolache recipe that taste like the wonderful Czech Kolaches of my youth. If I finally get my dream mixer, the first thing I would make is a huge batch of poppy seed, cottage cheese and prune kolaches. 🙂

  324. I would make homemade noodles! Yum!

  325. I’ve been wanting and needing a Kitchen Aid mixer for 20 years! We’ve made major lifestyle changes and now make a lot of foods from scratch due to food sensitivities. It’s challenging to find whole foods as well as gluten free/sugar free/sugar substitute products in our rural area. Having the mixer and attachments would be used daily and make our lives easier. Any color would be lovely!!

  326. I need this to help my small home based business 🙂

  327. I desperately want to make homemade croissants and brioche – and am just waiting for this mixer to do it!

  328. I love baking, all kinds, cookies, cakes, brownies, breads. I would bake for anyone who wanted to eat it!

  329. I would live to win this and make lots of lovely desserts.

  330. The opportunities are endless with this kitchenaid mixer. If I had to choose it would be fresh gluten free bread

  331. I would love to try making savory pate choux pastries for iftar.

  332. would love to make healthy food from scratch! insha’Allah!

  333. Homemade bread. So stinking easy in a KitchenAid mixer!

  334. i would love a silver or black one!

  335. I want to win this mixer because I honestly cannot afford to buy one at the moment and it would be such a blessing to have it since I love baking so much! This would help me with all my baked goods!

  336. Would love to make cookies with this thing as well! 🙂

  337. I want this so I can venture out and try new recipes.

  338. I would use my KitchenAid stand mixer to make cupcakes and whip up homemade frosting to serve to my family and friends!

  339. Creative use? I would get my kids excited about baking and cooking in general. It would be a great tool to have.

  340. I’ve never made meringue because whipping egg whites by hand is such a hassle for me. I would like to win this to try for the first time 🙂

  341. Homemade pasta and bread.

  342. Today I’m in the mood for a delicious yellow cake with whipped milk chocolate ganache frosting, all made with my KitchenAid of course.

  343. would love to make healthy food from scratch! insha’Allah!

  344. The kids love my chocolate chip cookies, so I would actually test the 7qt out and make 14 dozen chocolate chip cookies for the kids on my son’s Little League team.

  345. there are a lot of amazing ways to use a kitchenaid mixer (and my kitchenaid dishwasher & trash compactors are nifty, too!), but I personally love to use the food straining attachment for de-seeding berries or tomatoes for canning. cook your fruits or vegetables down to a soft consistency, then run them through the food mill for a delectable result. this technique works well for making baby foods, too. the kitchenaid mixer is just the beginning of the journey—all of the attachments are amazing. would love to win this—my mixer is getting a bit small for my big jobs!

  346. I would use it to knead dough so I can make fresh handmade rotis for myself and my husband.

  347. I love baking bread and it would be amazing to have a teal or silver kitchenaid mixer. My mother has one and I have always longed for one of my own 🙂

  348. I would make banana bread!

  349. I would like to win a silver one because there are a lot of recipes I’d love to try with it.

  350. I would love to try new recipes.

  351. Whole wheat chappatis!!

  352. I would LOVE to win this!! I’ve always wanted a nice, shiny stand mixer but could never afford it! :-

  353. I dream about owning this mixer! My grandmother (Nana) had one and she would make breads, cakes, cookies, pies….the list goes on and on! I would love to have one to create the same good foods and great memories with my children that I was able to share with my Nana.

  354. Ke'lona Hamilton

I am just beginning to transition our family of 9 into an all-natural, fresh, mostly organic/homegrown and homemade diet. This Ramadan is my first year using organic ingredients, cooking everything from scratch, using a crockpot and even baking my own bread. I’ve been able to find inexpensive tools/appliances on craiglist, but a Kitchen-aid mixer is just out of my price range.

If I was blessed to win this contest, it would take my kitchen to the next level! We would make our own breakfast sausage and ground meat with organic meats from local halal stores/farms; mix ingredients for homemade wholegrain muffins and cookies; make hot baked bread from scratch; the list goes on and on!

I’d love to build a whole menu around this little gem of a machine. And now that 3 of my 4 daughters are interested in/old enough for cooking, this would give me a great opportunity to teach them how to use the real tools of the trade, insha’Allah.

  355. If I win, I don’t have a preference over Silver or Red…. Red is so bright and colorful.. Silver is so professional and sleek.. Both would be awesome choices 🙂

  356. If I won the Kitchen Aid, I would definitely use it to make khobiz (bread). My husband can go through a dozen every other day! Its a pain to always have to go out and buy some

  357. My family already does a lot of baking in the house. My mom is always making freshly baked bread and my little sister is away baking her own desserts. If I were to win a kitchenaid mixer, it would make all these tasks easier in the kitchen during Ramadan. During Ramadan, we have potluck iftars at the masjid. During these iftars, my family takes a baked good and some other dish. As you can see, my family is huge on baking. My mom can make her breads without going through the process of hand kneading them and my sister and I wouldn’t have to tire our hands by using hand held blenders.

  358. I don’t celebrate Ramadan, but I would love to make a batch of cinnamon rolls using the KitchenAid!

  359. Michelle Thomas

My family has a lot of allergies so we make pretty much everything from scratch, including our bread (currently by hand) and I love to make goodies for my little ones. I’ve been trying to make vegan marshmallows for my 3 kidlets but using the hand mixer is a flop every time…..would love a Kitchenaid mixer! Being able to roast marshmallows this summer would be awesome! Not sure what colors the 7-quart comes in but it wouldn’t matter to me, just getting one would be amazing!

  360. My husband and I just moved in together, and this is our first Ramadan together. We are both avid cooks and bakers and are always whipping up new things in the kitchen. We both love fresh bread for suhoor and this mixer would make the bread-making process so much easier! We also love making fresh chocolate chip pecan cookies for the local masjid poluck iftar, and this would of course make it so much easier to make that much cookie dough!

  361. Salaam Alaikum,

Jazak Allah Khair for giving us this opportunity. Honestly, the world of baking is new to me. Since I am from India where baking is not a routine household activity, the first time I tried my hand on baking was about 2 years ago and I was so delighted. I have started baking regularly now, mostly chicken, fish, shrimps and alhamdulillah whenever I make biryani I bake it too now. Alhamdulillah its been a year since I got married and I am trying to learn how to bake sweets and how to make hot bread/rotis, since my husband loves sweets and homemade rotis.

I came across the KitchenAid Stand Mixer about 6 months back when I was in Virginia. I really liked it but it was too expensive and since I was newly married, me and my husband were in savings mode , so I put it on my wish list. 🙂

I have honestly never won anything in a giveaway, so I thought lets try this time, since it is something I really wish to have. If you give me an opportunity to own a KitchenAid Stand Mixer then inshaAllah I will surely make the best use of it and prepare healthy meals, sweets etc for my family and will also get to know the baking world better inshaAllah.

I am sure there maybe many who are more deserving, someone who probably is very well aware of the baking world, but if I am given the opportunity then will surely utilize it to make halal healthy meals for my family, friends and people who would like to take the risk of tasting my food inshaAllah 🙂

    Salaam Alaikum,

  362. Jessica Naasirah Colon

My family and I are have been trying everything to become healthier. Exercising, taking vitamins and eating healthier. This would make a great addition to our “kitchen” and “aid” us in eating better, fresher and homemade!

  363. The first thing I’d do if I won this would be to make near-industrial sized batches of lotion using directions I found on Pinterest.

  364. I didn’t know you could enter daily! The red one looks so sleek =)

  365. I would try different breads

  366. I would use this to make bread dough & making cakes, cookies, & brownies for my 3 kiddos (ages 3,2,1, masha’Allah). It would definitely cut short my time in the kitchen to spend more time with my children.

  367. I love the look of the stainless one! I think the first thing I would do is make homemade bread. I’ve always wanted one of these, but they’re too expensive. The attachments sound great, too! Homemade pasta or a nice homemade cake for iftar would be wonderful!

  368. I have always wanted one of these mixers and, since the color came out, my top choice has been chrome red. It would look so good whipping egg whites together for meringue cookies, which have been a joy in helping me indulge in a healthy and moderate way. 369. I would make Moroccan ghariba cookies!!

  370. Just looked up Moroccan ghariba cookies…those look awesome!

Food means sharing to me. Also, as a college student who goes to university with a wide breadth of international/interfaith students, this would be a great tool to help share in their celebration!

  371. Brownies…..I miss brownies :O)

  372. Salaam Alaikum,
