  33. During my first year of medical school, otherwise known as the worst year of my life, I had no one Muslim at school for community and felt alone until I discovered a tiny mosque in a town nearby. The building was impossible to find, parking was non-existent, but the people at that masjid were so incredibly welcoming, kind, and friendly. I have never seen a community like that, and they quite literally saved my life. I want this art to adorn my new mosque and be a reflection of the beautiful community within!
