I’ve been admiring the work of popular Australian graphic designer, Peter Gould, for a long time now. Actually, there are so many companies whose design work I’ve been admiring and didn’t even realize that Peter was behind their logos, website and brochure designs, masha’allah. What really prompted me to finally reach out to him was the free Kids of the Ummah Party Pack download that he is offering to everyone.
Actually, Kids of the Ummah is a series of fun apps & books for Muslim kids. The intention he says was to “introduce children to the wonderful diversity and vibrancy of our ummah (community) with colorful, educational puzzles, games and stories.. My own kids needed something fun & engaging when exploring their faith at a young age”.
Today he launched the brand new free and printable “Party Pack” with great activities and party decorations – perfect for keeping kids busy on Eid weekend! Download it by clicking on this link.
He also has a wonderful, vibrant and colorful app for kids (see below):
“There are great apps available for kids but I certainly felt there was nothing specifically for Muslim kids that was fun, engaging and educational,” says Gould. “I have two young children and my search for quality Islamic kids content was disappointing, everything seemed super religious and very little in terms of fun, visually exciting material.”
As a special gift to My Halal Kitchen readers, Peter Gould is offering a Kids of the Ummah book to one winner who will be randomly selected after leaving a relevant comment to this post. Giveaway expires at 12:01 am CST on October 29, 2012. Please read our giveaway guidelines before entering, as submitting a comment indicates you agree and comply.
