Holy Halal Cow Organic Halal Beef Giveaway – CLOSED

Day 2 in our #5DaysofGiveaways comes from a new US-based halal and organic meat company I’ve recently come to learn more about. All of their beef is antibiotic and hormone free, grass fed only, pasture raised and always non confined and humanely treated. They also try to stay with local farmers so that the animals do not travel far, which can be stressful on them.  As for chickens, all of their chickens are pasture-raised on open fields, not given any hormones or antibiotics, and are fed an organic non-GMO feed.

  1. I would love to try organic halal meat. With sickness in the family, I am trying any method I can to make our meals healthier.

    • Eating clean foods free of hormones, antibiotics, pesticides…etc. will definitely help on your quest to better health.

  2. I always try to eat organic whenever possible but meat is always the one we couldn’t get organic and halal here in our area and when we do find it is usually to expansive for our tight budget but with my health issues I really need to find a way to get it

  3. Happy to hear about another option for buying organic grass fed meat! Recently learned about its health benefits, and it’s tough to buy it locally.

    • We also had a hard time finding halal and organic meats for our family that is the reason we decided to start our company.

  4. Having halal and organic meats are important because halal is the way of the Prophet (pbuh) and organic meat is healthy and pure of any pesticides and gmo’s!

  5. I believe in eating halal but also would like organic because of health concerns. I also like the company sells antibiotic and hormone free meat. Also having peace of mind that the animals were treated humanely is also important. All these things fit with how halal should be.

  6. Organic because I am assured the animal was loved and cared for the way it should be. Not abused, either physically or with drugs and then slaughtered humanely. As in Hallal. Plus it just taste different, clean all around.

    • To us, halal is more than how the animal is slaughtered. We take extreme measures to make sure that the animals are treated well during their life and are treated with dignity. We appreciate that there are others who feel the same way that we do.

  7. Thank you giving people who are health and God conscious an option to eat halal and organic meat. Thabiha is always important in our deen, not to mention it tastes best.

  8. Assalamu alaikum! Organic AND halal is important to me (and my family) because it is crucial to our health to deter the long-term adverse effects of GMOs, antibiotics and other toxins, while keeping within the guidelines zabiha that Allah (swt) laid out for us.

  9. The reason I would like organic halal meat is not only for my family, but for my father who is suffering from cancer. This would greatly benifit him and allow him to eat not only a healthy meal that is not full of more cancer carcinogens that will impede his recovery, but to eat meat that is halal.

  10. Our home eats 100% halal and I try my very best to provide organic produce and snacks to my family! Our family has grown from 3 to 7 (yes, seven!) in the last 4 months, so we can really benefit from this giveaway! Pick me, pick me! 😉 lol <3

    • Oops, grown from ***4 to 7, don’t tell my husband forgot to include him! Heheh … love this new movement through Holy Halal Cow; we’ve been waiting for this to finally happen! 🙂

  11. I like to feel good when eating meat knowing that the animal have been treated well humanely slaughtered and clean, halal. I hope halal & organic will be so wide spread so that everyone can afford it.

  12. I like to feel good when eating meat knowing that the animal have been treated well, humanely slaughtered. I hope halal & organic will be so wide spread so that everyone can afford it.

  13. I believe that treating animals in a humane manner is part of our faith and am very glad that organic and halal is available.

  14. I believe the ethics of treating animals humanely is part of our faith as well and the requirements of a halal slaughter. Organic halal is exactly what our community should consider only purchasing if we have the ability, access, and means. Alhamdulilah

    • We couldn’t agree more! We concern ourselves more with how the animal is slaughtered but fail to address how the animal is treated during its lifetime. Additionally, there are so many added benefits to not eating meat that is full of hormones and fed a diet of gmo grains!

  15. Living in the U.S. it’s easy to become tempted and give in to the ease of obtaining meat that ends up being non-organic and non-halal, since that is the criteria for the majority of the meat we’re surrounded by. This is especially true, if you live in a state or area where there isn’t much diversity or a large Muslim population. Such is the case for my husband and I, who live in Kansas. We have lived in Kansas for about two years, I am originally from close to Detroit so the transition was especially difficult for me. This in turn gave me a new found appreciation for organic and halal meat since it’s a rare commodity here.
Now back to exactly why it’s organic and halal is important to me. It’s important because even though halal and organic should be synonymous, in today’s society they definitely are not. There are a lot of scary stories out there about the cleanliness and living conditions of these animals that are being slaughtered in a “halal,” way and ultimately being sold to us. Thus, finding a reliable organization that serves both organic and halal meat has become the ultimate goal. It’s important because it ensures the health of myself and my family. We search for organic when it comes to our fruit and other aspects of our diet, yet seem to neglect the importance of eating organic when it comes to our meat! Furthermore, it’s also important because it provides us with a sense of comfort that the slaughtered animal led a cruel free and comfortable life. As Muslims, we have to ensure animals are taken care of to the best of our ability and by supporting the purchase of organic, especially grass-fed meat, I’m supporting the gentle care of these animals. Moreover, it’s also incredibly important for us to support our fellow communities and Muslims. The more we support organizations that deliver organic and halal meat, the more likely we are to help increase this trend and hopefully it’ll be a transition many organizations will make.

    • We are lucky here in the metro Detroit area because we do have access to halal food not found in other parts of the country, however, its still so difficult to find organic halal meat because there isn’t the demand for it. Most people believe they are fulfilling their obligations as Muslims by only eating halal meat…they only concern themselves with how the animals are slaughters by fail to address how the animal is living during its lifetime. We have come across many people who believe that halal meat is “organic” by its definition not realizing that often times the animals are raised in the conventional factory farms. Our hope is that organic halal meat will become the norm in our community just as organic produce is becoming the norm. Thank you very much for your comments, you raise some very legitimate issues.

  16. I know that using organic Halal meat is healthy and science proved that. Some (who tasted both Halal and non-Halal meat) said the organic halal meat tasts much better. My Veterinarian friend told me with halal slaughter, the animal suffers from less pain. But the most important thing that makes me to eat Halal meat is that ALLAH said so. He asked muslims to use only this kind of meat and I , as a muslim, love to obey him. 🙂

  17. My family is trying to switch to organic foods whenever possible. I’d love to finally try some organic halal meat which is not even available in stores where I live. We eat only halal/zabiha meat. So, I’d be thrilled to try this meat.

  18. Asalaamu alaikum. Organic halal meat is important to my family because I have Lupus , which makes it important for me to find meat without added hormones and antibiotics. Additionally all halal meat should be Tayib . In sha Allah we will see more people raising halal and organic livestock.

  19. Organic and halal is important because it is the most Islamic way to eat as it takes into consideration our spiritual rights and responsibilities, our physical body rights, the rights of the animal to have a humane life and death and the rights and responsibility over our earth. It is a way to eat and nourish ourselves in peace and harmony with all.

  20. I only feed my family pasture raised animal products! The quality of the meat is much higher and is superiority nutrient dense in contrast to grain fed meat. I am on an extreme budget so more often than not we go without eating meat items as I do not want my children’s food to be contaminated with nonorganic ingredients or GMOs. Winning this giveaway would be a blessing and would allow me to feed my family a more balanced diet despite being on a tight budget. Although I do not know what halal is I am hoping I can be entered in this giveaway!

  21. Masha Allah nice to see some organic halal! I feel like I always have to choose between organic (which I feel scientifically is healthier) and halal slaughter to obey Allah. The combination seems logical – since halal slaughter should have Tayyib living and food etc, but not many farmers are doing it. Jak for other info on a new source of good meat!

  22. It is sad to realize that living in the west has taken away our freedom from being able to heat healthy hormone free meat. I watch the children go through early puberty from eating this. Hopefully your business will continue to grow and reach all markets so that we can all access this good food.

  23. Definitely a blessing to be able to have access to organic and halal meat. I definitely would like to try this healthier option of halal meat. I appreciate what Holy Cow and other organic and halal companies are doing to help my family eat healthier.

  24. As a tumor patient, organic is very important to me because it reduces xenoestrogen exposure. As a Muslim, halal is important to me and I am unable to find halal meat without driving two hours. I would love to win this giveaway!

  25. ANY MEAT FILLED WITH HORMONES AND OTHER UNNATURAL SUBSTANCES IS NOT GOOD FOR PEOPLE TO EAT IF THEY ARE TRYING TO EAT HEALTHY.

  26. Eating Organic and Halal to me is important because what my family and I put into our bodies has a direct effect on our health and well being, we have felt the difference when eating organically and halal, not only does the food taste better but we do actually FEEL better after eating it. Its a win win.

  27. Eating halal and pure food is our family’s first priority.. What better if the food is organic and grass fed and raised the way nature has intended it to be. The fact is there are not much organic halal meat options available in our area so i would definitely love to enjoy this give away

  28. I am so looking forward to have halal meats in my home. I live far with no transportation. the closest halal store is over 1 1/2 hours away from me. I live on a very tight budget and the prices are reasonable. the greatest for me anyway is the fact i’ll be following Allah’s guidance and eating healthy. this makes me so happy to know that it is possible for me to eat halal. the way it should be, and, if I had my way, I would shut down slaughter houses and chicken factories, how cruel can they treat their bread and butter, and, jeopardize their own customers. i’m looking forward to be a steady customer.

  29. Halal meats are very important to my family and I because its the Sunni way. Also in my heart I know this animal was not tortured while being killed and lived a humane life.

  30. Living in US, it is very hard to find good quality Halal meat. I am always on the lookout for hormone and antibiotic free meat from Halal meat providers. I haven’t had Holy Halal Cow meat yet and would love to give them a try.
    Thanks.

  31. I would love to try halal and organic meat. While we eat halal anyway, I have concerns about the quality of meat. Would love to try organic meat, which is not only halal ,but TAYAB as well.

  32. we Muslims are allowed to eat what is “good” (Qur’an 2:168) . That’s what Halal so pure, clean, wholesome, nourishing, and pleasing to the taste. And to top it of make it organic the way ALLAH intended it to be without man- made intervention and poison that affect our health in a way or another.

  33. I am interested in trying halal Beef because I have tried to improve the way I prepare meals for my family and to help to support their health from a young age and to teach them that eating right has a lot to do with being healthy. The non-organic meat has lots of antibiotic and other stuff that affects the growth of young children. So I’ve been trying very slowly adding organic food to my family’s diet. Find finding halal meat that is organic is very rare and hard. I hope that this becomes more readily available for families and also be at the price range that we can afford. Because it will help our community..

  35. Assalamu Aleykum, first of all thanxs for giving always good tips, you do a great work sharing your advices, recipies, I live in Mexico, so as you can imagine here are not so many places where to buy Halal food, my dad does a great job always finding halal stuff and bring it to the family. Why do I wanna win this giveaway? Simple as muslims we know we must always be healthy and follow Qoran and Sunna, we must do our best for our body, family, children, enjoy our life etc. If I win will be a huge chance to get something that isn’t so easy in my country, open a new market and these helps to our brothers and sisters, more clients! InshaAllah! 🙂

  36. If I buy meat, I make sure its halal and organic. With so much hidden hormones and antibiotics in everything we eat and with very few options of organic and halal stuff out there, its good to know that companies like ‘Halal Cow’ make things a tad bit easier for us:)
