Food, Inc.

Today, people are more concerned than ever about the source of our global food supply. With recent scares of salmonella, bird flu and the swine flu we are paying closer attention to personal hygiene and questioning the mass production of our food from major suppliers- or are we?

I haven’t seen this film yet, but I’m eager to. Food, Inc. came out on Monday but it will be playing in major cities around the country this weekend, insha’allah. With commentary by respectable and knowledgeable food writers such as Michael Pollen, this documentary is supposed to open up our eyes to the truth behind where our food really comes from and why we need to be concerned about it. Check out the trailer- and if you see the whole film first, please offer your feedback. I’m sure we can all learn something to pass on.
