  6. Assalamu alaikum and Eid Mubarak! Because we fasted on Sunday, we made an Algerian soup dish called shorba, made with freekah wheat and lamb. It doesn’t matter what the weather is like; having soup after fasting is soul-warming! I love all of Saffron Road’s products, but still haven’t tried their latest line of snack chips. And, having your book would be the icing on the cake. Thank you!

  7. Asalamu alaikum. I haven’t, yet, tried Saffron Road products. However, they all look delicious. I usually cook from *scratch*. Your cookbook cover is beautiful. Congratulations. I, am Muslim, my family is not. However, they eat Halal, so that we, as a family, can eat together. I love how you incorporated your ethnic recipes into a halal dish.

  8. Salaam and Eid Mubarak! I actually have your cookbook (love it by the way) although having another to give as a gift would be a pleasure, as would tasting some of Saffron Road’s treats. As for our Eid, we had traditional Egyptian fattah. It was YUM!

I would love to try the saffron road products and I would appreciate news ideas from your cookbook also my 15 year old son is gluten intolerant and it’s become my mission to find suitable edible snacks and meals for him , Jazakallah and shukran for a beautiful website

  16. Assalamu alaikum and Eid Mubarak! For Eid this year I tried something new and made Thai red curry vegetables using the Safron Road simmer sauce

  17. As Salaamu Alaikum Al Hamdulillah for the Muslims having a beneficial Halal place to get recipes . May Allah allow it to grow Insha’Allah Amin

  18. Assalammualaikum and Happy Eid il Adha to you and your family. I cooked a spicy red chicken & potatos in tomato curry sauce (a specialty of Malaysia, where I am from) and white rice to go with it. Normally it is served with yellow turmeric rice but I was out of turmeric, so we settled with the white rice 😉 You can also serve the curry with roti pratha (another one of my favorites). I would like to make dhal curry with one of Saffron Road lentil and vegetarian products. I hope more stores will stock Saffron Road products where I live in Central New Jersey, (closer to the Jersey shore) which is geared to more bars and restaurants serving alcohol and pork for the mainstream Americans) It’s not easy to get halal food unless you are prepared to drive at least 20 minutes out of your way but Alhamdulillah, the last few years it has been easier to locate halal grocery stores nearer to my house, so Alhamdulillah Allah does make it easier for us in many ways….

  19. I would love to try these products! I always make brunch for Eid and we spend the rest of the day snacking on it– mini omelettes, zaatar and cheese pies, fruit and veggie platters.
