Assalammualaikum and Happy Eid il Adha to you and your family. I cooked a spicy red chicken & potatos in tomato curry sauce (a specialty of Malaysia, where I am from) and white rice to go with it. Normally it is served with yellow turmeric rice but I was out of turmeric, so we settled with the white rice 😉 You can also serve the curry with roti pratha (another one of my favorites). I would like to make dhal curry with one of Saffron Road lentil and vegetarian products. I hope more stores will stock Saffron Road products where I live in Central New Jersey, (closer to the Jersey shore) which is geared to more bars and restaurants serving alcohol and pork for the mainstream Americans) It’s not easy to get halal food unless you are prepared to drive at least 20 minutes out of your way but Alhamdulillah, the last few years it has been easier to locate halal grocery stores nearer to my house, so Alhamdulillah Allah does make it easier for us in many ways….

  30. I would love to try these products! I always make brunch for Eid and we spend the rest of the day snacking on it– mini omelettes, zaatar and cheese pies, fruit and veggie platters.
