  1. Spent wonderful 15 years of my life in the Middle East and always remember walking past the bakeries Baer my home and smelling the aroma of this wonderful delicacy.

    • Growing up I can remember my mom buying my siblings and I a few baklava fingers after Islamic Sunday school. It was definitely a treat we used to look forward to. Now whenever I have those baklava fingers with the crushed pistachios on top, this memory comes to mind.

  2. Asalaamu alaikum. Miss having baklava & tea with the sisters on Jummah in Dearborn, MI. I moved cross country and unless I make it , there is no baklava within 200 miles of me. πŸ™

  3. I remember coming home from school when I was younger and my mother would make homemade baklava warm and delicious ready for my brothers and I as an after school snack. Even as I enjoy them as an adult today, they still bring back those wonderful memories with the warm, buttery dough and a hint of sweet honey.

  4. Baklava is one of my favorite desserts, especially around eid time and family weddings. Such a rich dessert with delicious flavor. Hope to try this new brand of sweets, insha’Allah.

  5. As a little girl of 7 years old, with 2 younger sisters to play with, we’d always take out some of my father’s stash of baklava during our imaginary tea times. It was the perfect sweet treat to go with our innocent and wild imaginations. The dessert now brings this fond memory to mind sometimes.

  6. I lived in the middle east the first 13 years of my life and having a sweet tooth, baklava was one of my favorite dessert. Years later it’s still one of the best !!

  7. It was a beautiful summer night when I attended a company dinner party to celebrate Eid. The Turkish food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Everyone was enjoying themselves and a good time was had by all. For desserts, baklava and coffee was served. It was warm and sweet, so delicious like melt in your mouth happiness that you never want to end.

  8. Baklava was the first Middle Eastern Sweet I have ever had. When I was in Pakistan, my husband used to bring it to me as a treat. MMMMM….Baklava. My little boy loves it as well.

  9. I love baklava. When I was little a very sweet older woman used to make it. Whenever I eat baklava, I think of her.

  10. Assalaamu aleikum. The best baklava (walnut) I have ever had was from a small natural foods store in Schenectady, NY of all places :-). They ordered it wholesale from a bakery in Atlanta. Only if the store was not closed and I did not forget the name of the bakery :-P. Tastes so good with a cup of semi-sweet tea <3.

  11. Everyone deserves to relax and enjoy a nice treat at the end of the day, especially busy mamas! These look tasty and conveniently packaged for a secret purse stash! πŸ˜‰
