Moroccan Cooking Classes: Tagines & More

Congratulations on choosing a Moroccan cooking class experience! It is indeed a wonderful choice for a novice cook or an advanced one because Moroccan cooking is very forgiving for those who want to try something new while adding delicious flavor into their lives. The cooking techniques are not difficult to master and once learned can be practiced with so many other wonderful, healthy and nutritious dishes.

In my hands-on class, you will learn several cooking techniques and methods that will familiarize you with Moroccan cooking, in general, as well as how to specifically prepare several recipes.

Here are a few of the things you will learn:

• How to cook with a tagine
• How to make a tagine dish without using a clay tagine pot
• How to make couscous quickly
• All about Moroccan spices and unique ingredients
• The secrets to building a Moroccan pantry
• How to choose fresh produce for Moroccan dishes {and many other cuisines}

A typical class menu includes the following dishes, for which you will receive recipes and make them during the class, as well:
Chicken with Preserved Lemons & Olives Tagine OR Fish Tagine with Tomato Sauce & Olives
• Couscous
• Moroccan Carrot & Orange Salad
• Moroccan Briouates with Ground Lamb
• Pears Marinated in Honey & Spices

Each class is a three-hour long hands-on experience where you will be participating by actually making the dishes being instructed. In addition, here is what included in the class price:

  • all ingredients necessary to make the recipes
  • food preparation tools
  • recipes & cooking instructions
  • shopping resources
  • open question & answer/discussion

For those already scheduled to appear in the upcoming class in Cleveland, Ohio (by invitation only), please choose a payment option below. If  you choose the options that include a cookbook and/or apron, those items will be brought to you on the day of the class. Included is a discount for purchasing those items ahead of time only.
