Giveaway: Chef O’ Gadgets Stainless Steel Rolling Pin [CLOSED]

Have you ever seen a stainless steel rolling pin? I see a lot of different things in the gadget world of cooking and not all of it is useful or all that interesting- sometimes it’s just ‘stuff’ that you don’t really need but are convinced that you do. Lately I’ve been going for a much more minimalist look and feel in my life and I started with my kitchen. It’s amazing how when I began doing that, I actually started to pay a lot more attention to things that would not only make my life easier, but that would be a lot more sanitary, as well.

When I met with the owner of Chef O’ Gadgets I was really impressed by the detail she paid attention to when coming up with this new product in her line- the 18/8 Stainless Steel Rolling Pin with measurements etched into the barrel to help you roll sheets of dough to exact widths.

It’s so practical and makes so much sense for pastry chefs because you can place it in the fridge or freezer for a short time so that it keeps your dough cold when rolling it out. How many pies and cookies have you made that when rolling out the dough it got too warm and ended up sticking to the wooden rolling pin? Makes you wonder, Why didn’t I think of that?!

Well, I’m glad Chef O’ Gadgets did.

They even made it so that it’s easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Perfect.

  1. I grew up in England, U.K. with the smell of freshly rolled morning dough wafting through the air, that my Mum would prepare for us, to create a variety of Indian snacks awaiting our return from school. I remember racing home with my brother to be first one to open the front door and be hit by the glorious smells of samosas and bhajjiyas and other delights arsing from Mum’s kitchen. We were greeted by her warm smiles and hugs only to be then taken to the table where a beautiful array of these mouth watering wonders and fruits, cut up into gorgeous arrangements were sitting, waiting for us to tuck in. I love these memories and pray for my Mum’s well being everyday but I know I will ever be able to even equal all the care and love she has put in since the day I was born. May God bless her and all Mums everywhere…ameen.

  2. My mom would love this for making her awesome pecan pies! She would love that the dough won’t stick and that it is so easy to clean.

  3. My mom makes the best cut-out sugar cookies in my opinion but at she gets older it has become more difficult for her to roll the dough evenly. This rolling pin would save her time an energy as she tries to get it the way she wants. The holidays are especially hectic because she makes so many but during the year she will make them for birthdays and even my sons’ baseball teams, mitts and balls go over very well! I bought her a stand mixer for Christmas a couple of years ago and that helped her tremendously, the rolling pin would be just as great!

  4. My mom doesn’t bake, nor does she like to cook. lol However, I love to cook and bake, and always involve my young children. I have 3 boys, and I want to them to know how to hold their own in the kitchen, insha’Allah.

  5. My grandmother is 86 and still loves cooking and baking from scratch! This rolling pin would help her roll out a quick pie crust. She could also use it make the top and bottom layers for her delicious peach cobbler!!! Oh how I love her biscuits . I could go on and on forever about grandma’s cooking. LOL… Just know the rolling pin would get plenty of use.
